Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is enthusiastic about tangos and operas. Additionally, she enjoys drama performances. Her mother taught her how to sing. She began intensifying her vocal instruction by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. She furthered her training in music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for arts, music and performing has her participating in numerous local organizations as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations for keeping this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
